Science is not (or not only?) science fiction, and for sure for making science one has to research. But how can we communicate the results? And how to go beyond simple communication and let people participate to science? Florence has a long tradition of science research and science communication, one of the best examples of both practices is indeed Galileo Galilei that spent his last years in this town writing his most famous books in vulgar (to be read by anyone). At present, there are many realities that deals with science communication, and one of the goal of this meeting is that of presenting them all together, in order to boost interest and cooperation.
